Signs

Human hair and metal, 220 x 40 x 40 cm. 2025

A European Union flag woven with human hair from displaced individuals transforms the symbol of integration into a testimony of exclusion.

Hair—an intimate trace of the body—is used here to expose how both it and the displaced are regulated, expelled, and normalized. The work becomes a gesture of resistance, making visible the fragility of liberal promises when confronted with systemic racism and global capitalism.
