Project commissioned for the exhibition Salón de la justicia, at the Cámara de comercio de Bogotá, Colombia, 2015

On a piece of marble with chisels made with lead from bullets collected in different cities in Colombia I make a reproduction of the phrase inscribed on the front of the Colombian courthouse that says (Colombian, weapons have given you independence, laws will give you freedom) this phrase attributed to Francisco de Paula Santander, who with General Simon Bolivar freed the territory of New Granada. Thanks to physical nature of lead, these chisels are destroyed in the process of creating the phrase on the marble, leaving it unfinished, even unreadable.
